      "Mr. Charlie Ellis, of Brier Road, Borden, treasurer of Sittingbourne F.C. Supporters' Association, was married at Borden Parish Church, on Thursday, to the widow of a former Sittingbourne footballer.
      His bride was Mrs. Florence Newton, of Gayhurst Drive, Sittingbourne, who has been a widow for about three years. Her late husband, Ernie, was a half-back with the town team.
      Mrs. Newton's daughter, ... , flew specially from Philadelphia, U.S.A., to attend the wedding.
      Mr. Ellis had been a widower for about three years."
