    • From PR, data transcribed by KFHS (CD 25)
Shows a John and Mary Walker, husband and wife, buried the same day.
I suspect it was this couple; there was no marriage of another John Wal(k/t)er or similar name to a Mary in the PRs for Marden prior to this (though of course a couple who married elsewhere could have been living there).
Although there was no big spike in burials, for a few months from March 1614 there seem to be more burials than usual, suggesting the plague or similar was doing the rounds. 1614 is shown as one (of quite a few years) when plague was in Maidstone on the Kent OPC website. These burials on 11 May were just 9 days before Mary's mother was buried; I suspect Mary along with her husband and Rachel all died of the same illness, probably the plague.

    • Husband's name from father's will. Was the surname Walker or Walter? Both found in the KFHS transcripts of PRs, were the same used variably or not? Clearly Walker in William Burr's will, but that is a transcript. A John Walter witnessed Rachel Burr's will on 12 May 1614 - was this the same person, her son-in-law? Not if I am right about his burial. Either chance or some other link e.g. John Walker may have been a widow when he married Marie and John Walter the witness his son.

KFHS index of PR entries shows
John WALKER married Marie BUR on 14 May 1612
