-
Name Frances (“Fanny”) HALKE Relationship with Teresa Ann GOATHAM Baptised 27 Dec 1749 All Saints’ Church, Petham, Kent, England Gender Female Death duty record - The index to the death duties register has an entry for Frances Halke under 'Wills 1801', showing she was of Petham Kent and referring to page(?) no. 50.
(index TNA ref: IR27/69)
Will 20 Nov 1790 Written - Frances' will is unusual in being written so long before her death and when she was not elderly, but by November 1790, although aged only 41, all of her siblings had died, one earlier that year and one the previous year. This must surely have prompted thoughts of her own mortality.
Buried 1 May 1801 All Saints’ Church, Petham, Kent, England - Shown as aged 51
In her will Frances specified a gravestone was to be erected with her name, age and date of death; I didn't notice this but could have missed it or it may no longer be legible.
