    Married
    • A John Hext (son of Nicholas, link unknown) had also been baptised in Stokenham in 1728. He was old enough to have been the one who married Mary and had the children shown here. However, this one was not only a more likely age but the fact he gave a son the name Ambrose, like one of his brothers and his maternal grandfather, stronly suggests this John. Since he had his children here he was probably the one buried here in 1783, although he could have been buried in 1796.
