Name Mary KELLOND Relationship with Teresa Ann GOATHAM Born 1780 Baptised 3 Sep 1780 St. James’ Church, Slapton, Devon, England Gender Female Died Yes, date unknown Notes - (Research):It might be this Mary Kellond who was 'of Kingsbridge' when she married a John Edmonds in 1804 (Banns at South Pool, where John was of); DFHS CD (Woodleigh Deanery) shows the wedding did take place at Kingsbridge (7 Aug 1804) and that there is more info in the PR - this may clarify whether it was this Mary. However, the 1851 census suggests it was not this Mary; a mary Edmonds of the right age is in South Pool and shown as born South Pool.
Alternatively she may have remained a spinster and been the Mary buried in Slapton on 4 Sep 1854 - age shown as 75, she would only have been 74 but close enough. No indication in register as to whether a wife, widow or spinster.
The 1851 census, though, shows a widow Mary Kellond, aged 70, was a visitor in a house in Slapton at the time of the census; I guess it was that one buried in Slapton in 1854. (There was no sign of this Mary as a Kellond)
