Name Tryphosa KELLOND Relationship with Teresa Ann GOATHAM Born 1831 Baptised 20 Feb 1831 St. James’ Church, Slapton, Devon, England - PR shows 1831 Feb 26 No. 385. Tryphosa Daughter of Robert and Sarah Kellond, abode: Slapton Village, father a Carpenter, ceremony performed by Wm. Paige Minister.
Gender Female Residence 1881 - In 1881 Tryphosa was living as an unmarried housekeeper.
(Her 'husband' Robert Pepperell was still shown as married but was alone with his daughter by Tryphosa.)
Residence 1891 “Church Tower”, St. Issey, St. Columb, Cornwall, England Died Jun Q 1898 Plymouth Reg Dist, Devon, England - GRO ref: q2 1898 Plymouth RD 5b 154
Another Tryphosa Biddick of a similar age died in the St Austell Register Office area in 1909. However, the 1901 census entry for the Tryphosa Biddick who didn't died in 1898 shows (by her birthplace and her children that were with her) that it was another one.
Tryphosa only had the one child, Edith. She was living in Devonport; I guess Tryphosa may have moved to live with or near her. Edith and her family had only 2 rooms so it can't have been easy to fit an elderly mother in as well.

Family 2 William Hamley BIDDICK, b. Abt 1818, d. Dec Q 1896, St. Columb Reg Dist, Cornwall, England (Age ~ 78 years)
Married 23 Dec 1885 St. Andrew’s Church, Tywardreath, Cornwall, England - GRO ref: q4 1885 St Austell 5c 195
Tryphosa Kellond married at in St Austell Registry District in 1885 - matching up her husband from the marriage index with the 1891 census confirms it was this Tryphosa Kellond.
The Cornwall OPC database provides more information - and further confirmation:
'William Hamley Biddick, of full age, Widower, Carpenter, residence: St Issey, father: Thomas Biddick, Farmer
Tryphosa Kellond, of full age, Spinster, House Keeper, residence: Tywardreath, father: Robert Kellond, Carpenter
married by Licence
witnesses: Sarah Theresa Jenkins, Albert Jenkins'
(Sarah Theresa was one of Tryphosa's sisters, and Albert one of Sarah's sons; the Jenkins family lived in Tywardreath)
But she had previously lived as the wife of Robert Pepperell - although they were not actually married.
Robert had married a Mary Ann Soper in 1841 and was still with her at the time of the 1851 census, but by 1861 was shown as "married" to a Tryphosa, born about 1830 in Slapton, and Tryphosa was still with him and their 3 year old daughter in 1871. They were not free to marry due to Robert's earlier marriage, divorce not being affordable for most people.

Wills (transcripts) The will of Robert Kellond (c. 1796 - 1863)
Tryphosa was not named as a beneficiary of her father's will in the usual way, but he named 3 other daughters and specified that they should give her "a portion of each that is what is right and just".
